Superyacht Tenders & Toys project manages custom tenders for new Feadship

20th February 2019

In the last six months, Superyacht Tenders & Toys (SYTT) has delivered four custom tenders to the new 110m launch from Feadship.  Working with designers, suppliers and the client throughout the build, SYTT’s tender specialists project managed a Limousine (‘Limo’) tender, an Open tender and two SOLAS rescue boats.

Created by renowned yacht designer Michael Leach and built by Compass Tenders, the Limo and Open tenders complement the mothership with their smooth exterior lines and matching upholstery.

Designed for guest comfort and crew practicality when transferring guests to and from the shore, the carbon composite Limo tender has a twin jet drive for a smooth transfer in shallow waters.  With custom hidden cleats to streamline the decks and folding bulwark steps for seamless access, the Limo provides the ultimate luxury guest transport to and from the yacht.  The AC-cooled interior and aft open-air seating facilitated by a clever layout provide additional comfort for guests. The Open tender comes complete with Seabob storage and a beach bow lander for easy access to the shore.

SYTT’s senior project manager Richard Booth commented, “The SYTT team has extensive experience onboard superyachts, so we know how difficult it can be to manage multiple projects whilst running a yacht.  By advising on the latest custom solutions, liaising with suppliers, designers, shipyards and overseeing the entire build, we take the stress out of the process for yacht crew and management.

We also offer a complimentary warranty handling and after sales service to ensure any final tweaks are taken care of.”

In addition to the Limo and Open tenders, SYTT project managed the builds of two SOLAS rescue tenders, the first to be delivered by tender supplier Cobra Ribs.

Richard added, “Whilst safety regulations require multiple dedicated SOLAS rescue boats on larger yachts, it doesn’t mean they need to be solely functional.  We work with suppliers to satisfy the legislative requirements and deliver a custom tender that can be matched to the mothership and tailored for guest transport, crew use or watersports.”

With several tenders and toys around the transom, it’s important to protect the mothership (especially when she is a brand new Feadship!).  As well as overseeing the tenders, SYTT manufactured and delivered custom transom fenders designed to fit and built to withstand high impact.  Transom fenders form part of SYTT’s new build package, which is designed to take care of all new build yacht supplies under one roof.
