The challenge
Outfitting superyachts during the build phase is where we truly shine at Superyacht Tenders and Toys. It’s what we do best, turning a brand-new vessel into a fully-fledged entertainment platform.
When we were called upon in September 2021 to equip a stunning 57m Sanlorenzo superyacht, due for delivery in June 2023, we were in our element. Tasked with the goal of ensuring the yacht was fully equipped for both private use and charter services, our journey began.
This project was a textbook example of our expertise in action. We understand that timing is everything when it comes to new-builds. Our extensive experience allows us to anticipate needs and tackle challenges long before they can become issues, ensuring a smooth sail from the drafting table to the open water.
The primary objective was to offer a vibrant and versatile collection of water toys that not only promised exhilarating experiences but also aligned seamlessly with the yacht’s sophisticated aesthetic.
The mission was clear: enhance the yacht’s allure as a charter vessel with an array of water toys for all ages while ensuring seamless integration and storage aboard the vessel.
The process
Our initial step involved a meticulous examination of the yacht’s General Arrangement to assess storage capabilities. Our in-house expert liaised with the owner’s team to understand their vision and storage options. When we put together a proposal, we make sure it’s more than just a list; it’s a visual adventure that outlines what we see as the best superyacht toys for our clients.
We suggested a line-up that promised to keep everyone on board diving into fun, from the fun lovers to the sun-soakers. We painted a picture of days filled with the buzz of Sea-Doo jet skis and the sleek flash of custom-painted SEABOBS, reflective of the owner’s affinity for carbon fibre, right down to the serene drift of inflatable paddleboards.
We included everything from towables for family fun, snorkelling, and dive gear for underwater exploration. For action fans, the Fliteboards were a must-have. And, for moments when sailing calls, we included a sleek folding dinghy. A bespoke set of inflatable platforms completed the beach club set-up, providing the perfect solution for additional space on the water. Not only do they extend the outdoor area for guests onboard, offering freedom from the limits of the yacht, but create the perfect place to park all the toys.
Our team then hopped on board the yacht for a hands-on session with the crew with a mission to make sure our custom water toys and inflatables would feel right at home on the yacht. We’re all about getting the details just right. They got to know every nook and cranny where the gear would live, working with the crew to figure out the perfect spot for each piece. The aim was simple: make it a breeze for the crew to get the toys out for a spin and tuck them away after the fun’s done, all while keeping the look sleek and stylish.
Locking in the final order for Virtuosity in February 2023 and the green light given, we set the wheels in motion. For the custom inflatables, production kicked off, blending high-quality materials with the expertise needed to ensure each piece met our high standards and the specifications of the yacht. As the toys were ordered, we made room in our warehouse, ensuring each item had a spot reserved where it could be housed safely.
The outcome
On schedule, we coordinated the delivery of the toys from the UK and Slovenia to the Sanlorenzo shipyard in time for the yacht’s maiden voyage.
Once everything was delivered, the crew were quick to give us the thumbs up. They confirmed that each item had arrived just as expected, matching the order down to the last detail.
We made sure they were all set with guidelines for setting up the gear and keeping it safe. It’s crucial that the crew feels confident in handling the equipment, so we provided clear instructions.
From unpacking to day-to-day enjoyment, we’ve got it covered so that they can focus on what they do best — creating an incredible experience for everyone on board.
As the summer season kicked off in June 2023, Virtuosity was turning heads, decked out and charter-ready, sporting an impressive collection of high-end, bespoke water toys and inflatables.
Reflection
This venture not only highlighted our bespoke service and dedication but also underscored our capability to meticulously plan and execute on a global scale.
