Designed and built in Sweden, the Marell M12 Arctic chase tender is a masterclass in rugged refinement. Purpose-built for year-round performance in demanding conditions, this all-aluminium 12-metre boat has been configured for owners and crew who require speed, safety, and comfort without compromise.

At its core is a unique hull design engineered for high-speed control. With a 21-degree deadrise, longitudinal strakes, and finely tuned forebody, the M12 delivers remarkable stability in rough seas while maintaining a dry, composed ride. Thanks to its advanced hull structure with integrated webs and framing, the boat feels planted and predictable, even when pushed to its 45-knot top speed.

This particular M12—completed in late 2023 and launched in 2024—is the only model to feature twin inboard Volvo Penta D6-440 engines. Paired with Volvo’s Dynamic Positioning System and three joystick helm stations, it offers agile handling and pinpoint manoeuvrability. A 1200L fuel tank and cruising efficiency of 3L/NM at 30 knots provide genuine range and versatility.

Inside, the M12 balances its utilitarian DNA with thoughtful detailing. The helm is ergonomic and intuitive, fitted with a suite of Raymarine navigation equipment including 24”, 19”, and 9” Axiom displays, Cyclone radar, AIS, ClearCruise AR, surveillance cameras, and a FLIR infrared camera. The IWCS intercom system with five headsets ensures seamless communication on board. From autopilot to down vision sonar and YachtSense internet, the tech package leaves nothing wanting.

Cabin appointments are equally considered. Five Ullman Daytona crew seats absorb impact during high-speed runs, while passengers are well looked after with a comfortable three-person sofa, climate control systems, and a spacious forward cabin featuring a double bed, quarter berth, and a well-equipped galley. A private WC with holding tank, ambient lighting, charging ports, and storage throughout ensure longer days on the water are effortless.

Exterior features reinforce the M12’s all-season utility. A fixed canopy with electric skylight, black-tinted windows, non-slip EVA decking, and robust welded cargo rails provide both shelter and secure stowage. There’s also a Spectra watermaker, liferaft, pelicases on the aft deck, and a roof rack for extra gear. LED work lights surround the deck, while a searchlight, thermal camera, and anchor windlass add further capability for low-light or remote operations.
