SYTT Customs Hub
Our SYTT Customs Hub provides a fully secure, compliant environment for yachts that are ex-VAT and available for sale. As an authorised Inward Processing (IP) operator, we offer clear, practical advantages for managing brokerage vessels efficiently and correctly.
IP authorisation allows yachts to be imported into the UK ex-VAT, stored in our customs warehouse, and undergo maintenance, works, or refit as required before being re-exported, all without triggering VAT charges. This removes unnecessary cost and complexity, keeping transactions straightforward and commercially viable.
For brokers, buyers, and sellers alike, our customs warehouse and IP status streamline the sales process, reduce friction, and support faster, cleaner deal progression. Whether you’re preparing a yacht for sale or managing a purchase, our setup gives you the flexibility to move forward with confidence and clarity.
What we need from you
- Copy of the original invoice showing VAT status
- Copy of servicing records
- Recent photos of the boat
- Current engine hours
- List of any known defects and service history (including when it was last run)—the more detail, the better
- Current location and storage plans (ideally, the boat will be with us at our Suffolk HQ; we offer free storage for the first 3 months while the vessel is for sale)
- Inventory of what’s included (e.g. spares, lifting strops, covers)—to be listed in the Brokerage Agreement
- Planned sale price (or let us provide a valuation once we’ve reviewed the above information)

Experience an SYTT sea trial
Our Suffolk headquarters is situated close to the North Sea.
We have secure storage and easy access to the water via the Royal Harwich Yacht Club (RHYC), where we’re active members.
For clients visiting us for sea trials, it’s more than just a handover—it’s an opportunity to get out on the water, whether that’s sailing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, or wing foiling.
The RHYC also offers excellent facilities, including showers, changing rooms, a bar, and a restaurant. We also offer luxury accommodation for extended stays.

Protected, presentable and ready to go
We offer a smart, on-site solution for year-round boat care and protection. Our durable inflatable tents keep brokerage tenders clean, dry, and presentation-ready—ensuring every boat looks its best, whatever the weather.
