Charging your SEABOB
Preparation
- Place the unit on a stable, dry surface.
- Ensure the port is clean and dry.
Connection
- Twist off the screw cap from the connection port.
- Ensure the charger’s connector is clean and dry.
- Plug the charger into the unit and then into a mains socket.
Charging Modes
- The unit performs a check, and the charge display appears.
- Select Mode:
- Partial charge – Tap the green button on the right control grip (50% charge).
- Full charge – Tap the red button on the left control grip (100% charge).
Monitoring
- The charge display shows the charging status with bars representing 10% increments.
- Temperature monitoring: Charging pauses if the temperature exceeds safe levels.
- Completion:
- Partial Charge – An aircraft symbol appears.
- Full Charge – All bars in the accumulator symbol are filled.
Post-Charging
- Ensure the port is dry and replace the screw cap.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, ideally at +10 to +25°C (+50 to +77°F).
Maintenance Tips
- Regular charging: Charge after each use within 24 hours.
- Avoid heat: Keep the unit and charger below 60°C (140°F).
- Long-term storage: Keep connected to the charger or use “air transport/storage” mode.
